Rising Sun Car Show 2012

Well its that time of the year again where we travel down to Lincoln for Rising Sun Car Show, This being my first show of the year, sadly missing Japfest. The show pounced up upon us rather quick and prep time pretty much being nothing!
With this year being my first year in the CL9 after the death of my civic i thought lets make a little impression that more people should be thinking about said car as a choice, so my preshow prep consisted of winding the coilovers down!
With the stand sorted out - thanks Martin for sorting me out on short notice the Honda Culture x Sumo Hashiru stand was ready, troops rounded up meeting at my unit we made tracks to meet up with the rest of the army at Ferry bridge services. I am lacking in pictures as Henry was my deadicated mobile snapper for the trip down!
We arrived at the showground in a convoy of hondas, then it was pitch up, drink up, and BBQ up time!
with alcohol drank like it was free, gary and rob soon rocked up.
For a weekend where the weather was so nice i was kinda dissapointed with the turnout for the show, Rising Sun for me has never been as much about the cars but more about the people and a enjoyable weekend, cars are just a bonus!
On Saturday with neil as a early arriver as we were setting up the stand, we were ready to show what we had to bring from stock - clean - charged etc.

Gary's DC2
The Saturday Team

Standard of cars at the show in general were good, alot of things dont really appeal to me, ie lambo doors huge body kits etc etc but i guess each to their own and its what the owners likes which makes our cars stand out for better or worse!

heres two cars which i thought were just awesome!

With alcohol drank, endless amounts of BBQ food ate and a heavy Friday night, Saturday was a less eventful night, maybe because i fell asleep for 3 hours and missed most of the night but hey!

Sunday the unexpected happened, show had kicked off, cars cleaned, BBQ's going stand set up

Sundays Stand
So as I was saying the unexpected did happen after playing on the dodgems and buying some more Poorboys polish, Henry gets a call asking me to go over to the back corner of the showground for a photoshoot for a blog? turns out its a blog for Fueled Society i think these guys have something to do with novak, when arriving gary and curley were already there.
After their pictures were taken i couldnt help myself but to get some shots for myself as the location was so beautifull!

Then the rest of the crew joined us

All in all it was YET! another fantastic weekend  for myself and i can quite happily say for everyone from our lot who went, we enjoyed it! I do hope this aint the last RSCS for ever, but fantastic job Martin and Nat youve done it again!

We'll be showcasing at the Fueled Society Show in Wakefield June15th. Hope to see you there!
